Pink Saturday May 15

Happy Pink Saturday! Thank you to Beverly from How Sweet the Sound for hosting our Pink Party. Last week there were 180 of us partying!

So this week as I was wondering what to do for this very special day, I was going through my bead stash and came across a strand of rhodonite

Rhodonite is an attractive mineral that is often carved and used in jewelry. It is named after the Greek word for rose, rhodon. Its rose-pink color is very distinctive

So now my dilemma is deciding what to do with them. Maybe team them with some facetted black onyx

Nope, not liking that combination at all

So what about pearls, they go with everything!

No, this isn't doing it for me either

What about facetted rock crystal or some nuggets?

Hmmmm, this looks promising

Definately needs some silver rings

So if these were your beads, what would you do with them? Please let me know

And just in case you didn't know:
Rhodonite is the official gem of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts

Have a great

Saturday!

Thanks for visiting.

  5. Great items as usual. Just a comment, can anyone tell me if it is polite to advertise their own website items on a fun day like Pink Saturday. I am new to blogging!!!! MIA

  6. Hi Mia
Thank you for visiting. Yes it is alright to advertise your item on Pink Saturday as long as they are PINK. Beverly, our hostess, has not said that we couldn't.

It is not polite, however, to advertise your website in a post on someone else's blog.
    Please visit again.

  8. really, the official gem of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts? That is an interesting tidbit.
I am confused about the "polite" "not polite" discussion up there. I have been signing with my url because my profile lists several blogs and people have taken to emailing me instead of checking out my blogs... so I thought they were confused.
Is it wrong to leave my url in my comment?

  9. Hi CailinMarie

It is not wrong to leave your url in a comment. What Mia is referring to was a comment that contained an advertisement. I deleted it.

I am glad you came to visit. I hope you'll come by again.
