If you visited my Pink Saturday post a couple weeks ago, you know my husband was laid off from his job. The past 2 weeks have been terribly stressful, waiting for paper work so we could register for Employment Insurance, among other things. Then yesterday a co-worker gave me a magazine. In it there is an article on keeping a Gratitude Journal. Each day write down 3 things you are grateful for.
So I dug out my Pink journal
and my pink pen
I always have to be different so my FOUR things I am grateful for today are:
1. My husband and son. My husband who makes the meals while I am busy creating my jewellery, among a host of other things, and my son who vaccums the house twice a week. And for making me laugh. Did I get lucky or what?
2. My sister for being my friend and her encouraging words during this stressful time. It is so good to say my sister is my friend. (Happy Birthday, Sis!)
3. For all the lovely ladies I have met through this blog. I love your weekly visits.
I would like to mention one lady in particular, Gail from Decorating My Tin Shack. Gail sent me a personal email of encouragement that really touched me. Every time I have thought of it the past two weeks, I tear up. I have never met Gail, just visited her blog several times although I haven't always left a comment. So while you do the rounds on this Pink Saturday be sure to stop by and visit Gail.
4. Beverly of How Sweet the Sound for hosting our weekly meetings. And for not picking orange or green as our colour.
Have a great week. Thanks for visiting.
We are all praying for you!! Your friend too and SIS.... love ya
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful start to your gratitude journaling. Hope you have a wonderful Pink Weekend! Sandi
ReplyDeleteOh Sweetie...
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday and please know that I am praying for your family. When God closes the door he always opens a window. We will be praying for that breath of fresh air real soon.
I love your post sweetie, and the journal is such a wonderful idea. I started writing in one when I came home from the hospital to find things that I should be grateful for and not being sad about my voice. I am adjusting just fine.
I will be stopping by your etsy shoppe too. Gail's necklace is just beautiful.
Many hugs sweetie and please know that you are SO loved. Love, Sherry
Happy Happy Pink Saturday. We do all have so much to be grateful for. Life can be such a hard journey, with so many ups and downs. Yours will improve and you will be stronger for it. I visited Gail's blog and love her necklace so I too, will be visiting your Etsy shop. You continue to be in my prayers.

Love your journal, and pen. Those alone should bring a smile to your face. I know things are tough right now.....
ReplyDelete"I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future."
This was given to me by the Lord when I was going through my divorce, and what was happening was not to harm me, but in fact ended up being a blessing. You will find blessing in your situation also.
Hugs
Gail
Sometimes when it rains it pours. Sorry to hear the rain has been a little heavy at your house. With the things listed, you are still very blessed. Just remember, no matter how bad it is, there is someone else a lot worse off. Hang in there.
ReplyDeleteYou have a wonderful attitude. I hope these difficult times are short lived and that everything will soon be back to normal. Have a great weekend. Blessings...Mary
