I was asked to keep this going and I am gladly doing so
WHEN A SOLDIER COMES HOME
When a soldier comes home, he finds it hard....
...to listen to his son whine about being bored.
...to be tolerant of people who complain about the hassle of getting ready for work.
...to be understanding when a co-worker complains about a bad night's sleep.
....to keep from laughing when anxious parents say they're afraid to send their kids off to summer camp.
....to keep from ridiculing someone who complains about hot weather.
....to control his frustration when a colleague gripes about his coffee being cold.
....to be civil to people who complain about their jobs.
....to just walk away when someone says they only get two weeks of vacation a year.
....to be forgiving when someone says how hard it is to have a new baby in the house.
The only thing harder than being a Soldier...
Is loving one.
Excellent post and thank you. I have mentioned your blog and featured it on my. Diane

Hi Gracie
ReplyDeleteI saw this posted on Cindy's blog, Oakview Cottage. How very touching. I am going to post this on my blog for tomorrow's thoughts to ponder.
Thank you for sharing.
Had to come here first and comment. My dad lost his legs in the war, not sure if you saw that post, and I LOVE the words and photos you shared here. I will show this one to my kids. Young adults now. They never met their grandfather, but I talk about him all the time.
ReplyDeleteThank you for honouring our soldiers.
Love Claudie
