Pink Saturday July 17

Welcome to Pink Saturday. Special thanks to our hostess Beverly from How Sweet the Sound for organizing the weekly meeting of the Pink.

Rose quartz is one of the most desirable varieties of quartz. The pink to rose red color is completely unique, unlike any other pink mineral species. The color is caused by iron and titanium impurities.

Rose quartz is found in Madagascar, India, Germany, in the USA. Most of the worlds supply of good quality rose quartz comes from Brazil.

So now your mission for this Pink Saturday is to visit every one of the other Pinkers-last week 171 of us. C'mon its Saturday, what else are you gonna do? If you can't visit everyone at least make the trip to Amy's at vintage porcelain art. She actually paints all of the items she shows. I haven't seen a piece I didn't like.

Thanks for visiting.

  3. Hi Gracie! Thanks so much for the shout out! You are AWESOME!
I love your jewlrey! I rellly like how you tell about each stone, our art has a little something in common! The overglaze paints I use are finely ground minerals that mature into beautiful colors when fired in the kiln.
I hope you are having a great weekend!
