Labour Day Weekend - Pink Saturday

It's Pink Saturday Labour Day Weekend. Thanks Beverly from How Sweet the Sound for hosting our weekly gatherings.

Labour Day or Labor Day is an annual holiday to celebrate the economic and social achievements of workers. Well in my house it has been a stressful week. My husband was laid off, the second time in two years. The company has been sold, and the new owners do not want any of the employees.

I've shown these before, my handmade Prayer Beads made of Pink Swarovski Crystal and Freshwater Pearl with an Argentium Sterling Silver Cross. I fear they will be worn out by the time this is over.

Have a great weekend. Thanks for visiting.

  1. Happy Pink Saturday!!! Thanks for stopping by Unshelved Words this morning! What pretty jewelry you have. I will be visiting your etsy shop. Heartfelt wishes that your husband will be employed again soon. Since I am self-employed, I know too well the faith that we all need to chase away fears from the current job market and economy. Your prayer beads are a beautiful, mindful way to keep and share that faith. Many blessings to you on this PINK SATURDAY!

  2. G'day sweetie ~ I am so sorry that this has fallen upon you & your family. It upsets me when companies do this type of thing, no regard for the staff. Hubby's co. used to do the lay offs every year in Nov/Dec ... so cold & insensitive. Prayers lifting for all of you at this moment, may all quickly change.

Love the prayer beads, so pretty.

Have a beautiful PS & holiday weekend.

  7. Dear Gracie: Thank you for welcoming me to Pink Saturday today. It's nice to find fellow Canadians! I am very sorry to hear about your husband's unfortunate plight. Although it doesn't help you, I do understand as the past 4 years have been very rough for my husband as he has had 4 different jobs. He worked for the same company for 24 years, right out of highschool, when they lost their biggest account and had to shut their doors. It's been a rough ride to say the least. I do hope things turn around for you soon.

  8. Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your provisions. Thank you for being a provider and a way maker. I cast all our financial worries and concerns upon you Lord and in exchange I ask for and receive your peace. Father I thank you in advance for the job you have in store for my husband.

As my husband actively and diligently seeks employment, I ask for your grace and favour and blessing with employers right now in the name of Jesus; you know our needs and I make a decision right now to trust you with them. I thank you Lord that it’s already done. I thank you Lord for taking care and supplying our every need according to your riches in glory. I know you love us Lord, for not a sparrow falls without you seeing. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
    Love you guys, SIS
