Pink Saturday - June 4

Happy Pink Saturday!

The day all lovers of
Pink meet at Miss Beverly's How Sweet the Sound

This week I am showing off a bit. I recently started doing hand stamped jewellery and I love it. Something so satisfying about using a hammer in a forceful way :>)

Being the girlie girl I am I just had to do something with pearls and pink swarovski crystal

And I only use sterling silver

And I know every girl, big or small would love her own tiara

I've added a new page Say it in Silver and I will be adding a lot of fun pieces in the next couple days.

And just a note - last weekend I visited everyone for our Pink Saturday Birthday celebrations. Unfortunately Blogger muted me! I would click the Post a Comment line and nothing happened. So frustrating! Did anyone else experience this?

Have a wonderful weekend and thanks for visiting.

Handmade Sterling Silver Sodalite Bracelet - Shantell

Sodalite with wonderful variations of blue, black, white cut into 20mmx30mm beads. I call them chiclets because they remind me of chiclets on steriods. I've accented each bead with 3mm sterling silver beads. Each is handwrapped with Argentium sterling silver wire. This bracelet easily and securely closes with a sterling silver infinity lobster clasp. A substantial bracelet that fits a 7½" wrist. If you need the length adjusted, just let me know. When I do shows, this is my best selling bracelet. Everyone has to pick it up, touch it, try it on. I've had some ladies walk away and then come flying back because they just have to have it! I couldn't get the stones for a while, but on my last trip to my supplier's they had 2 strands. So I scooped them up.

Sodalite Beads: 1¼" long x 3/4"wide

Sterling Silver Beads: 3mm diameter

All Gracie Jewellery is handmade in my smoke and pet free studio and comes with its own storage pouch.

*Argentium Sterling Silver is sterling silver with less of the copper alloy. Copper is what makes sterling silver tarnish. Argentium is 92.5% pure silver with the balance a mix of germanium and copper. This makes Argentium silver harder, brighter and more highly tarnish resistant than traditional sterling silver.

Handmade Sterling Silver Moss Agate Bracelet - Shana

Nuggets of moss agate accented with sterling silver beads and handwrapped with Argentium sterling silver. Closes with a sterling silver toggle clasp with oxidized accent.

Moss Agate - 12 mm wide x 18mm wide nuggets
This bracelet fits a 7½" wrist

Gracie Jewellery is handmade in my smoke and pet free studio and arrives in its own storage pouch.

Moss Agates vary in colors and patterns, but do not actually contain moss. The name reflects the inclusions which resemble moss. Most commonly known are the green moss agates containing inclusions of chlorite, but other mineral inclusions, such as iron oxides, can create other colorful moss-like patterns of filaments within the translucent to clear chalcedony. Oftentimes, these agates form from volcanic activity.

Pink Saturday - July 31

Welcome to the last Pink Saturday for July. Thank you to Beverly from How Sweet the Sound for hosting our weekly gathering.

So now Pink Ladies, I have a question....

How old is too old to wear Swarovski Pink Butterflies?

What if they are hanging around with Freshwater Pearls?

Thanks for visiting. Don't forget to visit all the Pink Saturday Ladies.

Bracelets Fresh from the Bench

Made from *Argentium Sterling Silver all the links have been hand formed by me, fused closed by me and then tumbled for strength and shine. And then, finally, all the links are assembled into jewellery by me. All in all a timely process.

Part of the Peony Collection this is a 7 ½ inch handmade bracelet with 3 mobius charms attached.

Round links of 15mm diameter attaches to the next with a jumpring. Securely closed with a lobster clasp.

Small 11mm oval links separated with jumprings. Would make a lovely charmbracelet.

Large and small oval links alternate for a stylish lightweight bracelet.

Medium size oval links joined together for a stylish wrist statement.

Small oval links make this an easy-wearing everyday bracelet.

All Gracie Jewellery is handmade in my smoke and pet-free home studio. Each piece arrives in its own storage pouch. Gracie Jewellery is available in my shop.

While Argentium silver is a bit more expensive than traditional sterling silver, it is well worth it.

Pink Saturday May 22

Welcome to Pink Saturday. Be sure to visit Beverly, our hostess, at How Sweet the Sound for the complete list of Pink Lovers.

If you visited last week, you know my dilemma was what to do with these pink Rhodonite beads

I didn't know if I should accent them with black beads

Or crystal beads

Or pearls

After trying several different combinations, I decided they were pretty enough on their own

Using sterling silver accent daisies, I threaded them on a sterling silver chain

I finished it off with a sterling silver toggle clasp with oxidized accents

Each week Beverly challenges us to visit at least one blog we haven't visited before and then give them a shout out. So this week I invite you to visit Lindsay at This, That and the Other and Lynn at Teacup Stitches. (I'll let you in on a secret, I visit just about all the Pinkers each weekend. Although I don't always leave a message, it is fun to see all the Pinks.) And don't forget to visit next week for the 2nd Birthday of Pink Saturday. I heard there was going to be Pink Cake!!!!

Thanks for visiting. Have a great weekend.

Sunday Silver #2 (for me)

It's Silver Sunday and a great big "Thank You!" to our hostess Gypsy Fish Journal. Be sure to visit her for more great Silver treasures.

This is the Creamer

And this is the Sugar bowl

That sits on the tray

That makes the set

That my mom and dad received for a wedding gift from my mother and father in-law.

And now for a sneak peek at my handmade Argentium sterling silver bracelet. This won't be tarnishing like the cream and sugar does.

Thank you for visiting. Among all the wonderful blogs that participated last week I found Ceekay at Thinkin' of Home and I had a lovely visit. Be sure to check her out along with all the other Silver SunDay'ers.

Anonymous asked: Do you have complete moments of inspiration and wonder where the time has gone?
I do have moments of complete inspiration and then the time flies. When a piece doesn't go like I see in my head, then it gets frustrating. The bracelet pictured below has over 100 pieces of black onyx and freshwater pearls. It took over 2 hours to make but boy did the time fly!
