This plate commissioned for the Pennsylvania German Folklore Society of Ontario was made by Johnson Bros. of England. They were printed in brown, blue and pink. It depicts historical sites in and around the area I live. My mom received a brown one when she married 57 years ago. My sister received a blue one when she married 37 years ago. I was hoping to receive one when I married, but alas, I didn't. A few years ago my husband and I decided to spend $50.00 each on our Christmas gifts to each other. I wanted to search the antique stores for my gift. I set out with a clear mind, knowing once I saw "it" I would know. After an afternoon of visiting all the antiques store in our area, I found "it" in the only store left to visit. As soon as I saw this plate, I knew I had to have it. It looks like it has never been used. And it only cost $47.00.

Now if you know me, you know my life revolves around jewellery. So I can't do Pink Saturday with a picture of pink jewellery. Gorgeous pink Swarovski crystals hanging from handmade earwires.
