The Kokoshnik Tiara

The Kokoshnik Tiara was made by Garrard.

Princess Alexandra received the tiara as a gift on her Silver Wedding Anniversary in 1888 from 365 peeresses of the United Kingdom.
Alexandra had requested that the tiara be in the fashionable design of a
Russian girl’s headdress, a
kokoshnik.

The tiara consists of 61 platinum bars and 488 diamonds.

The Kokoshnik Tiara is one of Queen Elizabeth's favourite tiara.
Often called the Fringe Tiara and does open down to make a necklace. One of my favorites.Richard from My Old Historic House.
